have been quite happy with this rod & reel. I wasn't sure what to expect with a telescopic rod like this, and at this price, but it has worked well for me. You have to align the guides when you extend it, but once you do, they stay in place and it's nice and sturdy. I also feel like it casts really well for me. I mostly use it as a drop shot rod and I've caught quite a few fish with it.

I love being able to compact the fishing rod down to a more portable size. Once fully extended, the rod doesn't twist and feels very sturdy. The reel is pretty easy to use as well.

I use this rod is for casting in streams and rivers. it is light weight and flexible, easy to cast. this is a great rod with a lot of action!

We bought the fishing rod that came with the case. It is very compact and seems to be well made! For a collapsible pole it is very sturdy, easy to extend and assemble. Nice feel in your hands. Haven't actually used it yet as there is about 6 inches of snow on the ground. Fits back in the case beautifully and even has a cap that snaps back on the tip to protect the "eyes". The case is plenty big enough to even hold a second pole and a small box of lures and a few other items you may need. We take the reel off to do this, but that too is very easy. Love how portable and light weight it is. We camp and hike quite a bit and this is the perfect addition to our adventures.
