Rod & Reel Combos

I love this rod! Ive been using it for. A few months now. Folds down to fit in my bag. I collapse it to change lures while in my kayak, makes it easy to get at the end of the rod. Very smooth casting and reeling. Ive caught 5lb fish on this rod with no problem. Ive yanked lures so hard that were stuck in the tree i swore the rod or the line would pop (12lb braid line), neither popped and i broke the whole branch and got back my lure. I can feel fish his my bait easily, very sensitive. Im no pro fisher, but I cant imagine how a more expensive rod could perform any better.

The rod has a good feel when gripping it and fantastic action, reel has a smooth release as well as reeling in that big catch.

I was looking for a fishing rod to travel with on the airplane. I was contemplating getting a two piece rod however they seem to be the most convenient for me. It was really easy to get everything checked in through TSA. I purchased the 8.6 Rod which I thought was going to be too stiff but was not bad. The tacklebox seemed a little small which I had upgraded to a bigger one.

We got these rods for a recent camping trip so that if we went hiking we'd be able to bring the rods and not worry about getting snagged on trees. They actually folded down so small they fit in our bags! Quality is impressive, they seem pretty strong especially if you find a stronger line. Unfortunately we only caught some small perch so I can't really verify this. They're easy to put together, collapse, and expand though and look like they'll last for years. This was the perfect starter rod my son and he loves it. It's very durable and he is reeling in some whoppers with it.

Rod is very lightweight, locks up solid, has a nice, quick action. Reel is very smooth, nicely finished, and feels solid. Great value for a compact setup!

Lightweight, compact, and smooth extension. The Rod fit my 6500 reel with ease. I plan to use this rod for backpacking and surf fishing for perch. It will be a great addition to my backpacking gear.

I have several rods, like 6-7 and this is one of my favorites! it's not as thick as I would like to have a better grip, but it's light and compact! I can throw it in my trunk and forget about it, until I drive by a lake or river. I think it's best for small rivers or tight spaces on the banks, and it's easy to carry around all day long! I will see how it handles some nice trout! Overall, good value for the money!
