I have caught fish with it.

It is colapsable which is nive for transport. But you have to line up the eyelets when you extend it, which takes a moment. Reel works as good as any reel I've ever used. Kind of hard to mess that up after all they years they have been designing them. I use thirty pound tess on this real, because I fish from land or a boat and can't cast more than 50 or sixty yards. So I don't need the 200 or 300 yards of line you could get if you used a lighter 10lb line.
