I can't believe I can get such a good reel for this price.I was very happy with this reel. It did take some time to get dialed in, but all baitcasters do. Once it was set for my spinner bait I was on the move! I am very happy with this.
Great baitcaster! We have this and a pfleuger baitcaster, and on first trip out I cant tell the difference. This reel does feel lighter, but it doesn't seem to mean its less sturdy.
Very happy with this reel, can't wait to get it out for bass fishing, but it did the job on the boat targetting mackerel today.
What an awesome reel for the money. I used it for the first time and was able to land an 18" catfish with ease. So far very impressed. I have it setup with 20lb braided line. Very easy to cast long distances. I would definitely buy again in a heartbeat.
I picked up this reel for another setup I am working on. I went with this one primarly due to the name, Plusinno. I have purchased several of their other products and have been very happy with the quality and the price. This reel has a great feel to in and is very smooth. I haven't had a lot of experience with Baitcasters but I figure its time I learn. I would definitely recommend this reel.
After about 100 or so casts I can say I really like this reel, its adjustments are great and allow for fine tuning on the weight of the bait. Out of 100 or so casts I may of had 2 birds nests, but I was really just trying to see what it would take to cause a bird nest. Other than that, it was near perfect casts. I put braided line on it. The reel's gear ratio was really nice compared to my last baitcaster, the magnetic brake was really good as well, small adjustments were all that was needed. I'm really happy with this reel and will be using it a lot.
For the (low) price, you get a sturdy, solid-performing reel that so far has worked quite well. It's a pretty good deal for a large, solid reel that should last for quite some time.
So far I am impressed with the quality of built of this reel, especially for the price. It runs very smooth, the drag seems to engage smoothly too, nothing creaks or rattles. It's not particularly heavy, but leaves a very solid impression, and raises the expectation that it will last, even with some abuse. So far I have only been fishing 2 days with it, so this review is limited to impressions of a first hands-on. I haven't yet gotten a fish on big enough to test the drag, the comment about that is unfortunately derived from setting the reel up and from clear bites that miraculously turned into snags...I may update once I have used it a bit more and had some more luck with bigger fish, as well as some exposure to snow and ice. I do intend to use it for salmon and steelhead, so cold resistance is important. Winter is coming, I'll see how it fares soon!
I do like the button on the crank that allows it to be quickly stowed without fumbling around with the screw on the crank. The mechanism looks solid, time will tell if it is as reliable as the low-tech solution.
Bought 3 of these for a fishing trip with my brother(in photo) and my dad...
Caught 40 fish 20lbs plus.... dropped them in the creek several times...they performed amazing for the cost...😎👍
I've been wanting to pick up a 4000 size reel to use in saltwater. This reel is well made and very smooth drag. It's not too heavy considering the size. Will be easy to spool up the braid since the spool has a knurled finish. I also like that the handle has a button to fold it over for easier transport. I've not had this reel on the water yet, but I have confidence it'll do great.
I love this PL4000 from PlusinnoFishing. It is so light weight and sheer. Excellent value for the money. This reel is just as good as a Shimono or Abu Garcia. It easily compares to a reel 3 times it's price! I highly recommend this product. You will not be disappointed. Easy, smooth retrieve. Get this reel. I have it on a 7ft carbon Berkley rod.
